Ding dong dang dong--the bell rang. It’s ART TIME!!! I put my bag on the table outside, pushed through the highly decorated door, and entered the art room.
The amazing art works in the drying rack welcome me. “HI! Come on in!!” Ms. Cooreman tells us with a smile. As I head to my drawer I pass by two special white table, turn left and open my drawer. I couldn’t wait to see how my art work looked. As I open my drawer I wonder if I had destroyed it.

As I go past the refrigerator I could smell the stinky. It smells as bad as an open sewer. It has been there for weeks!! The unlucky thing is that you have to go to the refrigerator every time you want to change the song on the music player.
I believe in “Music is my art” The first thing I do when I enter the art room is to make sure the music is on. My friends and I always sing while we do our paintings. The music and the lyrics give us idea about what we should paint.

Khafre is the second largest of the Pyramids of Giza, belonging to the pharaoh called Khafre. It is made out of limestone blocks. Some of the limestone is still left after 4500 years. The estimate weight of the stones is 4,800,000 tons! They have not found anyone buried yet----but they are working really hard to find it. Pharaoh Khafre was really brave to build his pyramid nest to his father. To give respect he made it about 23 meters shorter than his father’s (so his pyramid was 457 ft), but to make it look taller he built it on a 33 ft tall base.
The Great Sphinx is to the northeast of Chephren's Valley Temple. Where it sits was once a quarry. Chephren's workers shaped the stone like the lion and carved their king's face over 4,500 years ago. The pyramid was buried for most of its life in the sand. King Thutmose IV placed a stela between the front paws of the figure. It describes when Thutmose, while still a prince, had gone hunting and fell asleep in the shade of the sphinx. In a dream, the sphinx spoke to Thutmose and told him to clear away the sand because it was choking the sphinx. The sphinx told him that if he did this, he would be rewarded with a kingship. Thutmose carried out this request and the sphinx held up to him until the end of the deal.

Pyramids used to be 7 wonders of the world till last year, but the main attraction of these pyramids were the Giza. The fact that they have survived for the past 4500 years is shocking. The year 2008 Egypt was on top of the “MOST VISITED PLACE”. Most probably this was because of the beauty of the GREAT PYRAMIDS OF GIZA.

-The Giza Pyramids-
The Giza is a group of Pyramids. The tallest pyramid, The Kuhfu is also one of the Giza. Sphinx one of the most known structure is also one of the Giza. The Giza consists of 3 pyramids: Kuhfu, Khafre, and Menkaura.
Khufu’s Pyramid took over 20 years to construct. It is built on the Giza Plateau, Khufu's builders made his pyramid almost perfectly to the north. The largest pyramid ever was built! It consists of about 2.3 million stone blocks, each weighing about 2.5 to 15 tons. It is estimated that the workers would have had to set a block every two and a half minutes to finish building it in 20 years. When it was finished it was the tallest structure, with a height of 470 ft! It was the tallest structure for 3800 years.

-Basket Ball Tournament-
The time has come, I thought to myself. We are battling OIS again. Everyone on my team was nervous, because we had played them the day before and lost. It was a very close game so we knew we could beat them! We had to win, to be 3rd place.
“PEEP!” Mr. Kobo blew the whistle and the game started. The first quarter was quite tough. The thing that annoyed us the most was that the OIS players were underestimating us. We carried on playing and already their good players had quite a few fouls. I was confident that we would win even though we were losing about 4-12. The buzzer rang and the first quarter ended.
Mr. Paron, our coach, gave us advice and then we ran out onto the court. We played very hard, but Mr. Kobo didn’t call out all of our fouls. The 2nd quarter was coming to the end and the score wasn’t doing so well. We were losing about 9-20. That was a horrible score. I saw Mr. Paron pulling his shirt above his head, and I could hear him screaming his head off. Well, to be honest, he was mostly swearing. “3, 2, 1 BEEEEPPPP”
“NO, NO, NOOO. We are not going to lose!” One thing that cheered us all up was that all their good players had 4 fouls! So we guessed they will all be kicked out by the end of the 3rd quarter. We began the quarter and no one on our team was going to give up. We had to win, for our school, for Mr. Paron, and all the people cheering for us. Almost all the teams except OIS were cheering for us. As we expected, all their good players were kicked out about three-fourths of the way through the 3rd quarter. This was our chance to get our trophy! Our score was much better; additionally, we only let them score 4 points, meaning 2 baskets. Unfortunately, there was one bad thing~~ I HAD 4 FOULS AT THE END OF THE 3rd QUARTER!
“TEEAAAMM” We shouted, and ran to the court. “This is our gym. This is our Home. This was our game,” I thought to myself with confidence. Mr. Paron didn’t want me to be fouled out so he put in Maya for defense and me for offence. We had soooo many fouls that every time they fouled us we got two shots. This was amazing! We scored every time. The score was 24-24. We had about a minute. I was on the court even though we were on defense. I jumped as high as I could grabbed the ball, ran as fast as I could towards the basket, past the defense, and SHOT! The gym became silent all of a sudden. “SWISH” The ball went in! Every one cheered up.
This was our game! We had about thirty seconds left. Maya knocked the ball away from the offence and Julie snatched it. She ran faster than anyone on the court. She furiously swung the ball away from her defense, and shot an amazing lay up! 10 seconds left! We did one-on-one defense and wasted their time. “BEEEEPPPPPP” the buzzer went and everyone jumped up and down in joy. We had won!
